About Breast Reconstruction
There are a number of breast reconstruction options offered by our board-certified South Carolina plastic surgeon. Dr. Vaughn utilizes the latest advancements in reconstructive surgery to restore symmetry and balance to women impacted by breast cancer, personalizing each procedure to meet the specific needs of the patient.
Breast reconstruction is covered by insurance and many women choose to have it done at the same time as a mastectomy to minimize surgical time. However, this decision is not right for everyone.
Part or the goal of BRA Day USA is to educate women about the team approach to addressing both the removal of cancer and the reconstruction of breast tissue. Dr. Vaughn has a close working relationship with many area breast cancer surgeons and would be happy to work with you and your doctor to determine what will be most beneficial for you.
